FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Virgin Hair?
Virgin hair is hair that has not been dyed, bleached, permed, straightened or chemically treated in any way. Virgin Hair comes from a donor, with all the cuticles intact and running in the same direction.  At Anointed Hair Passion, all of our hair is in its natural state and guaranteed to have proper cuticle alignment.

How big is each bundle?
Each bundle contains 3.5 ounces or 100 grams of hair.

How many bundles do I need for a full head?
14"-18": 2-3 bundles, 20"-28": at least 3-4 bundles.

What is the shortest length you carry?
12” is the shortest length that we carry at this time.

What color does the hair come in?
Because all of our products are 100% virgin hair and have not been altered, the hair is only available in a natural color (1b/2) .

Can I straighten, curl, wash, color or bleach my Anointed Hair Passion hair piece?
Yes. Our products are all made from 100% human hair. All textures will return to their original state after a gentle wash.

We recommend consulting with a licensed professional stylist if you wish to color your hair. Over-processing or improper dying will ruin the hair or alter the texture and can cause tangling and shedding.  Any chemical processing will affect the nature of the hair.  Anointed Hair Passion is not responsible for any problems which occur during coloring.

I noticed that there are a few grey or white strands in my bundle. What is this?
All of our hair comes from human donors. Because the hair is sold in it's natural state and has not been chemically altered, you may find some stray gray hairs in your product. Grays are normal and can easily be removed by pulling them out individually. There are usually no more than 5 strands of gray in a bundle.

Do your bundles ever shed?
Minimally. The most effective way to avoid shedding is by sealing the wefts. You or your professional stylist should perform this task before installing the bundles.

How do I seal the weft?
Cutting the weft promotes shedding, so we advise using a weft sealer to prevent this before wearing your new hair. Apply the sealant on one side of the weft, without getting it on the hair. Allow it to dry before repeating this process on the other side. The weft can be sealed with Fray Block or Aleene’s Fabric Fusion which can be purchased at most craft stores or at Wal-Mart. We recommend having a professional stylist perform this task.

How long will my hair last?
On average, virgin hair will last at least 6 months to 1 year, if the hair is properly cared for. To ensure that you are protecting your investment, please carefully read the Hair Care section on our site. We want to help you get the most out of your lovely virgin hair.  Our hair products can also be taken out and reused for future installs.

How is hair quality rated and what hair grades do you sell?
At Anointed Hair Passion, we grade our products using the standard "A" Grading system. The grade of the hair is based on the thickness of the hair extensions. Higher grade hair is thicker at the ends and was well-cared for by the donor received a higher grade.

Hair extensions are rated from A Grade, the lowest, to 5A Grade, which is also known as Double Drawn. A Double Drawn rating is given when 85-90% of the hair is the same length all the way to the ends of the hair extension.

Low grade, no grade or 1A hair will be dry and narrow at the ends. It may also have split ends and uneven lengths. The most common hair grade is 3A. 3A hair tends to be be drier that 4A and 5A hair, and will not last as long. Lower grade hair will also require more deep conditioning to keep it in good shape.

3A is good hair but 4A-5A is great hair.

Many companies do not sell 4A or 5A products because of the higher cost. However, these are the best grades because of their longevity, luster and uniform length. 4A and 5A hair is the best and is also referred to as Royalty Grade hair. Because of its high quality, it generally costs more than lower grade hair.

We won’t sell you short! When you buy a product from Anointed Hair Passion, you will receive premium 4A -5A hair that has retained its moisture and has soft, thick ends.  Your product will last longer and you will feel the difference in quality!

Should I wash my hair wefts before installation?
We recommend washing the straight and natural wave textures prior to installation. You can simply co-wash (conditioning only) the hair and hang it up to air dry while still in the ponytail bundle.

Which payment methods do you accept?
